Re: the klezmer pledge

Dear Lorin,
     Whooaaa!  The Klezmatics are fantastic--everybody knows that!  On our 
website, I tried to give a feel (in a humorous way) for the fact that the type 
of klezmer we play is more traditional--that's all.  And the only "klezmer 
pledges" which I seriously make are two, both facets of our obligation of 
tikkun 
olam: to try to increase people's joy through our music, and to help support 
Israel and the Jewish people in whatever ways we can.
