Prayer for the State of Israel

There's a pop-style tune for the Prayer for the State of Israel -- Avinu 
Shebashamayim through g'ulateynu.  Can anyone give me a lead on who wrote/sang 
it so that I can get some more information on it (e.g., when was the music 
written)?  (In case there are several tunes for it, the one I'm thinking of is 
pretty conjunct, with a melody line that basically rises in steps and then 
falls at the end.)

Also, is this prayer said/sung in Israel?
