American Yiddish theater

I am an Award winning Israeli filmmaker currently completing a film
about Yiddish theater in the US.
I have been receiving rejection letter after rejection letter from
grants in the US. One of the grants explicitly told us that a film about
Yiddish theater will not interest
( and I quote) "People in Alabama" and thus will not be of any interest
to an American Audience. ( The man who told me this was Jewish).
We already have a trailer , and over 100 hours of footage.
The little funding we got, was from Israel, where as many of you know,
Yiddish was pushed aside to allow Hebrew to become the official
language.
Ironically, people in Israel don't seem to have the animosity I've found
in the US to the topic of Yiddish theater.
Most of the Jews we've talked to in the US seem to have shame and hatred
toward the topic of Yiddish, Yiddish songs, and Yiddish theater.
There were already several articles about this project in newspapers,
the most recent one in the Los Angeles Jewish Journal:

I'd love to know if anyone has idea's who might be interested in helping
fund this project, I feel is important, even thought perhaps not
interesting to the "people in Alabama".
