Re: yemenite instruments

The article I have mentions the destruction of the temple as the religious 
reason for not allowing instrumental music and quotes several Yemenite Jews 
who made this statement.  However it also says that even Muslims were not 
permitted to play musical instruments unless they were part of the Inman's 
military band.  People still played music secretly.  I have scanned the 
article into pdf format if anyone wants to read it.

The Yemenites with whom I lived for a while in Israel told me that it was
because Jews were not allowed to play musical instruments.  I never heard a
religious reason.
