Re: Storing CDs?

Dear friends--in particular, those who have experience (in stores,
obviously, or in their homes) with storing not-yet-sold (and still shrink-
wrapped) CDs:

Is it important that CDs be stored at room temperatures--i.e., inside the
house?

Is there anything problematic in storing cartons of not-yet-sold CDs--I'm
both storing and selling more than expected--in a basement? Important to
be on a shelf, above ground? Important to store in some sort of heavy
plastic box, or whatever?

Finally, OK to store cartons of unopened CDs in a garage?

I'm not clear whether too cold or too warm temperatures are a problem--or
whether either is, when we're talking about still unopened CDs, in a carton
or in a plastic box of some sort.

Knowledgeable replies *very, very much* appreciated --

Robert Cohen
