Warhorse Classical Guitar piece originally Sephardic??

Shavua tov.

Recently found this in the Google newsgroups:

>I recently heard Sharon Isbin play her usually heart wrenching version of
>RDLA,
>and she announced to the audience that RDLA was actually a Sephardic song from
>Spain arranged with accompaniment.

(SEE
http://groups.google.com/groups?q=isbin+sharon+sephardic&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&safe=active&selm=3D093B03.193ED275%40pacbell.net&rnum=2)

News to me (though I guess that's what the groups are for!) Can anyone
confirm/deny?

There is a sample of the piece at http://lucarelli.com/discography.cfm (Not
Isbin, but you get the idea.)

Not at all familiar at this end.

Yours,

Joel
