The verse (Exodus 15:20) clearly states: "All the women
went out after her (ie Miriam) in dance with timbrels.
And Miriam chanted for them: Sing to the Lord..."
I do not see how "for them" could include men within
this context.

This can not be the case, since the masculine and
feminine forms are used interchangably within the same
sentence (Numbers 27:7). If your reading were correct,
the transfer of the land would be davka exclusively to
the daughters and not to their further descendents.
Check it and you will see.
As I stated earlier, there are many more examples
throughout the bible. It's impossible to deal with all
of them on a discussion list that was formerly
dedicated to Jewish music...
