Re: The Amranim duo



Robert,

I'll be in Israel for a couple of weeks, (till Jan 5th) hopefully I'll find
them, and their music.

In some ways these guys were ahead of their time (in how they treated ethnic
music using modern technology), and the fact their music is not available on
CD's is very sad.  Like so many great works of art, who sometimes linger for
centuries until suddenly "discovered" by someone who can appreciate the
"real thing" for what it is -  without hype. Not that I think that their
music was "great art" - but certainly better than much of the stuff that
floods the airways.
