Are there any other Jewish music anachronisms/mistakes in movies/TV shows
that list members remember?
Bob
I think this was brought up more than a year ago, a film (sorry can't
remember the title but i think it's a famous novel) with a story situated
in/near new york, a pretty young lady of independent spirit, who i think
refuses to marry for money and there is a letter involved concerning her true
love (pardon my crude memory), hears a poor seamstress sing, in yiddish,
through the wall of her rented room. while this is long before World War I, the
song she hears is Shtiller, shtiller - from World War 2.. i remember being
offended by the sloppy -or non-existent - research of whoever put the
soundtrack together.
