Yes, though my info is a bit hazy. I seem to remember that the Golden Peacock is a symbol for the return of Jews from the Diaspora and is Sephard in origin. It's been awhile since I read this info...somehow I contact it with Morris Winchevsky(sp?) the great Yiddish poet.
