I also don't know anything about Sufi dancing.  However, the Yiddish
hora(shown in the photo) is actually the same basic dance as the Romanians
to that kind of music.  It falls into the category of shared experience
dances.  I don't know if there is any connection between Romanian dance and
Sufi dance.
