Not many people recall that Frank Loesser, composer of Guys and Dolls, had 
a brother whose fame as an entymologist rivalled that of his musical 
sibling.  He was particularly remembered for his research on pesticides 
used to protect cotton crops from the most injurious species.  Since there 
was some confusion between the brothers at the time, Irving was often 
referred to as the Loesser of two weevils.
