Re: The Fate of WEVD-partisan opinion

i as well would like to appologize if i came off sounding overly harsh.

Not for profit organizations really are a misnomer....they have to turn some
profit to exist. the profit goes to pay for the ordinary business costs and
(the big one) PAYROLL! Directors and management of not for profits make
huge bucks. In some cases payroll can be as much as 90-95% of the money
that comes in. So if they deem it not in their interest to continue a
certain activity, then they certainly have the right to do so.

If they violate their charter, they can be held accountable. If they are
IRS approved as not for profit, they can loose their standing. However, the
ones you need to get to are the directors.

It appears that they abandoned their original goals when they allowed in the
talk format. It is quite possible that they have to cut the station loose
entirely in order to return to a non profit in the eyes of the IRS.
