Re: Hatikvah



A long time ago, in the context of a left Zionist youth
group, I performed a Hatikvah to the tune of Woody
Guthrie's version of "Talkin' Blues."

I haven't researched this topic thoroughly, but I do know that the
tune used for Hatikvah now is not the only tune that has ever been
used.  (In fact I've heard another tune in concert.)  Can someone
enlighten us on the history of the matching of the tune to the words?
