Eeeep!
To Simon, and the list,
I certainly didn't want to contribute to any frictions nor make this into
a contentious issue.
In fact, I was going to end my original posting about the Israeli attitude
towards Yiddish with the comment that our film-maker should be
encouraged to find out more info on stories, etc. After reading my original
and unposted comments, I decide that they were too maudlin and saccharine,
and deleted them from the final message.
So here it is...
"Any quest for knowledge, is a quest for wisdom. There is no such thing
as a "stupid" question. Obviously our film-maker is at the beginning of his
journey and may not even know what questions to ask? Like the innocent
son in the Passover Haggadah, who knows not what questions to ask,
we can only ask and answer the questions for him.
At least that's what I thought this forum was for, no?"
Simon is precisely correct; this fellow deserves an honest response.
My appologies, if I inadvertantly contributed to any ill-feelings.

(And I still stand by my comments about Montreal; The best damn bagels in
the
world, and the most livable city in North America. Now about the French,
hostie!
Si t'est pas capable a parler comme un vrai fils du Quebec, callissse!,
tasse-toi!
C'it, on parle le francais quebecois, en hostie! :-) :-) )
