To my knowledge, there is no such current book of this sort in English
(Seroussi's is in Hebrew). I hear that Amy Horowitz (at the Smithsonian) will
soon be publishing her dissertation on Israeli Mediterranean Music from a few
years ago. I am currently working on a master's thesis on Israeli Middle
Eastern genres in Israel.
