Actually, you are more than right. Somehow, I remembered the Israeli
tunes (probably because of the pop rendition of the whole recording)
more than the other ones... Of course, the Italian lyrics bear no
connections whatsoever with the Judeo-Spanish ones.
The "comeback" of Aida's aria is indeed quite inspiring...
Once again, this could open a debate on "Jewish Kitsch" (created both
by Jews and non-Jews).
