Re: art and pop/folk singing



Here's my two pence (converted to the local currency).

People use 'trained' to mean 'trained in the Western classical tradition',
but this is just a convention. Yes, not all 'trained' voices are good!
Someone with a trained voice who can sing folk music well is Jose Cura (who
looks *nothing* like his voice sounds).

I sing with many 'untrained' voices and try to blend with them, but it is
difficult.
