Chevra,
Does anyone know if F. Garcia Lorca ever set Sephardic texts to his own
music or arranged Sephardic songs? I had thought not, but the notes to a
recently acquired CD say, "the wonderful text and music of 'The Romance de
Don Boyso' are of Jewish-Spanish origin." I assume that "Don Boyso" is a
stand-in for the well-known "Don Bueso" but imagine I could have gotten
that wrong, too.
Judith or others care to jump in?
Shavua tov,
Joel
