Banner ads on the List

Are eye-catching, colorful banner advertisements a la Von Drashek okay
for the rest of us with something to market to the List, then?

Your silence in the face of several objections about the Captains's
adverts from List Members would signal assent.  Please correct me if I'm
wrong.

As someone who has been  threatened with excommunication
(several times) and has  seen their "thread" officially "broken",
due to what you alone found an objectionable discussion (musical sexual
rhythms) I find your position  curious -- especially after public
objections by such List stalwarts as Reyzl, Owen and Marvin.

No one, by the way objected to the "sexual musical rhythms" thread.  In
fact, it elicited some of the most well-informed and erudite postings on
<doinas>, <taksim> and other <klezmer> music which I have ever read.

You  are usually so adroit at playing policeman.
I can't figure out why you havn't busted the Doctor yet.

Will you kindly tell the List  the nature of your special relationship
-- that is, why his ads for legal weed are condoned, especially after
you yourself are on record as having taken a
"just say no" stance in previous personal postings?
