No material should be posted to this list without the permission of
the author, and no copyrighted permission should be posted to this
list without clearing permission (written, in most cases) from the 
copyright holder.

In general, too, given that some people have relatively slow internet
connections, it is much, much better to do as you did, Reyzl, and 
post the URL so that everyone can reference the article at their
leisure (or not reference it if they are not interested).

I'm going to get the link added to the klezmer shack library, too, as
I think it is a well-written article about Friedman's music, and about
the source of some people's discomfort with it, without panning her
music, which, as several people have written, does have meaning to
many Jews. (Beyond that, I really don't want to be seen as telling
people what to like or dislike; that I leave to those who have a
vested interest in the worship of a given artist.)
