| Can anybody help a friend who is looking for Klezmer sheet music for
| accordion.
Two mandatory books for any klez accordion player: The "Kammen
International Dance Folio" volumes 1 and 9. These were published in
the 30's by J.&J. Kammen Music Co. (263 Veterans Blvd, Carlstadt NJ
07072), and are still very much in print. Your local Jewish bookstore
likely has copies. They aren't entirely klezmer, but these two
volumes have a lot of the standards. Some are labelled as Russian or
Serbian or Hungarian tunes. All are accordion arrangements, though
they are perfectly usable for other instruments, too.
An interesting sign of the growing popularity of klezmer music: These
two books are part of a much larger series of international dance
music, but the two volumes with a lot of Jewish and Eastern European
tunes are the ones that are selling well. You can find just these two
volumes in a lot of ordinary music stores, especially those with a
folk-music section.

in accordions and concertinas. They have a lot of books, including a
number of klezmer books.
