What goes around comes around.
When the Protestant Reformation began about in Germany, they looked for a
model service to replace the Roman Catholic Mass. A lot of what they
adapted was from the Jewish service. for example, they started with
prayer, with a Scripture session (paralleling the Torah Reading) follow by
more prayer - sort of like Shacharis, Torah, and Musaf. now move forward
several hundred years to the "Jewish Reformation". Jewish Reformers
seeking to divorce the service from their Orthodox forebears decided to
emulate guess who? The Protestant Germans!
This reminds me of my high school days when the 2 guys behind me cheated on
a Physics test. They were copying from each other and neither of the 2 had
studied a bit. So they both wound up flunking.
The Moral of the story is:
Study, Learn, and don't copy!
(And of course never take Rich Wolpoe too seriously!)
