Well, I was thinking more about pop songs with Jewish roots,
rather than Yiddish songs transformed, but any excuse to
give in to temptation and pick up a new June Tabor album
is certainly welcome ;-).

In a similar vein, Toronto violinist Ann Lederman released
an album with songs by many of ethnic groups that make Toronto
the most ethnically eclectic city in the world (at least, according
to the UN). "Not a mark in this world," I believe it was called,
and it contained an excellent Yiddish labor song whose name
entirely escapes me--like most of my albums, it is in storage on the
other side of the continent.
