more on Yiddish/English/June Tabor

in her version of Mayn Rue Plats, as it's come back to me again,  actually
what June Tabor does is in one way very like that ol' Bay Mir Bistu Sheyn:
only a couple of the lines are actually sung in Yiddish (Dortn iz mayn rue
plats... followed by rhymed English translation of other lines, for each
verse, and then another Yiddish line at the very end).  It's a striking
effect, and very unaffected.
