Ari's note yesterday that record stores usually classify klezmer under
"Israeli" reminds me of a category I inadvertently omitted from my
tentative classification of klezmer styles:

The Israeli school -- namely the notorious Gyora Feidman, as well as
other clarinetists like Musa Berlin, Izrael Zohar, and others. They
certainly have their own distinct style.
