Shame upon you all. The original Shostakovich recording of the voices and
piano version of the Jewish Folk Poetry cycle is available on Russian Disc
RDCD 15015. A good performance of the orchestral version is on Chandos
8800 with Yuli Turovsky. This disc also contains truly wonderful
performances of the Ernest Bloch small Jewish pieces and a quite decent
performance of the Prokoviev Jewish Overture in its orchestral, not
chamber, version.

Earl in Miami.
