There are a lot wonderful masterpieces in classical music with a
Jewish contents or origin. Of the works by non-jewish composers
my choice of three is:
Maurice Ravel: 3 Cansons hèbraiqes: Kadish, Meyerke mayn sun and
"fregt di velt di alte kashe".
Sergeij Prokofief: Overture on hebrew themes
Dimitri Shostakovic: Jewish song cycle as well as other works like
the 13. Symphony "Babi Yar".
Jewish composers besiodes the many Israeli composers, who dedicated
many works with a jewish genuine character are: Darius Milhaud, Ernest
Bloch, Leonard Bernstein.
