RE: Classical

4 February 1996

Cantor Schwartz:

I am embarrassed to say that I have never heard of
Bernstein's "Chichester Psalms." I will try to find it at
our university library. My favorite is Bloch's Schelomo.
But I may be biased--I am a cellist specializing in Jewish-
inspired cello music. (By the way, I'm in the midst of
something like a world tour with this music--in the last 9
months, performances in Prague, Berlin, Rome, Florence,
Rome, Salzburg, Paris, Brussels, London, and Toronto. Last
weekend, we played in Dayton--it was _honestly_ just as
exciting as playing in Europe!)
