Re: PEARL JAM RULES

>>...fans of real musicians not fly by night gimmick bands like Pearl Jam.

Have you really listened to Pearl Jam's music? This is a very good
band - especially live. They play off of one another in the live setting
as well as *any* band I've ever seen (includes Zepplelin Houses Of The Holy
tour, The Who eight times/Quadrophenia-thru-the-farewell tours, Jethro Tull
10 times from Brick-thru-Stormwatch tours, Stink Floyd - boring as hell, but
that's another discussion, Dead six times - Alpine Valley & around Chicago,
Genesis - Selling England/Lamb/Trick/Wuthering tours....and many others). In
my opinion, these are real musicians, and Eddie Vedder is an exceptional
vocalist - if judged by expressing emotion/performance.

>>...see if Pearl Jam is still making chart worthy music in ten years.

Is ten years an "official" standard? If a group of musicians is creative
long enough to put out 3, 4 or 5 albums/CDs, but the creative spark dimminishes
before ten years, does that detract from their work? I would think in most
cases it would be better to move on rather than try to milk it...?

Yeah, right - Stink Floyd and Phil Collins "under $40" - gimme a break.
Even The Dead at Soldier Field (Chicago) couldn't do "well under $30". (and at
a venue with capacity of 60k, just under $40)....except for relatively unknown
artists on their way to fame, playing clubs, "Most" charge whatever the market
will pay...which at this time is pretty expensive. For tickets purchased
through Ticket Master by credit card, service charges in excess of $7-$10 per
ticket is not uncommon...and for questionable (often annoying) service at that!
