Hammakor Judaica on Dempster East of the Edens carries a nice selection of
tapes and cds as well as many other Jewish items. I believe they
also have a mail order catalog.

There is an excellent (read challenging) Israeli folk dancing group
that meets every Thursday night from 7:30 to midnight (the first hour
is reserved for teaching beginners) in Evanston. The sessions are
usually held in Parkes Hall which is inside the big church on the South East
corner of Chicago and Sheridan. (Or just North of Clark street on Chicago).
