[HANASHIR:2777] Re: Guitar travel

Several years ago, I checked my Conn guitar (a beautiful totally blonde wood
oversize I might add!), which was in a (gasp) softshell case, and did NOT
loosen the strings, and the neck broke, and my poor baby was never the same.
We tried gluing it back together but it ended up with awful buzzes and
becoming a yard sale special. Nowadays, like Judy Git (and others) I try to
bring my new guitar onboard and put it in an overhead compartment, or, if I
have to check it (if I travel with my toddler it's hard to carry on the
guitar plus all the kiddie stuff) I am sure to loosen the strings and tie the
case with rope.
