[HANASHIR:1672] Re: Rosh Chodesh songs

Dear Susan,

In addition to the responses you already have, there are also some
traditional songs which are associated with aspects of Rosh Chodesh. The
full text of Esa Enai contains a reference to the sun and moon, and other
songs have been associated by mood, eg. Erev Shel Shoshanim. There is a
book called the Rosh Chodesh Anthology (can't remember name of editor)
which is a great guide for anyone starting a group, and it includes some
music at the back by Geela Raphael Rayzel - I have to say I found it a bit
difficult to fathom, even though I read music, and it was pitched very
high, but that is easy to change.

With regard to my song mentioned by others, send me your snail mail address
(to me, not the whole list!) and I'll post the music out to you - I'm about
to do a mailing of several copies to the U.S. after similar enquiries on a
Jewish Renewal list I'm on.

Regards,
Rachel
