I am a Jew by Choice. When I first started coming to services in the late
seventies, ALL the melodies were new. My Latin was great, my Hebrew non-
existant.
Imagine my surprise when ten years later I thrilled to a "new" V'Shameru by
Debbie Friedman, only to find that the "old traditional" V'Shameru I had
learned when I was converting was Friedman's too. It's all relative.
