I believe most Israelis are pronouncing it that way,
and, technically, the guttural break would be correct,
but, language is ultimately affected and changed by
the native speakers and listeners of that language.
Many speakers and listeners might be speaking and/or
hearing the lazy "w". But it is, technically, lazy.
Ru-ach and lu-ach would be correct pronounciation.
Remember, there is no "w" sound at all in Hebrew. Any
word in Hebrew with a pronounced "w" would actually be
taken from another language source, most likely
Arabic, as in the word "wadi". But, now I digress,
back to this fun discussion, Ilana
