[HANASHIR:9448] Re: Torah in song for 5-6 year olds



I agree about "shnayin shnayim"! One warning though to
folks who are careful about their Hebrew
pronounciations and meanings. Sam set the words to the
chorus in a stress distribution that makes the word
"teva" mean "nature" rather than the intended meaning
of "ark". I have taught this song by slightly moving
the stress by changing "El ha-te(va)" into a triplet
which allows for the stress to fall properly on "va".
Same with the next line rhyming phrase of "zachar
un'kevah" by shortening the last syllable of "zachar"
so the stress of "n'kevah" falls on the last syllable.
If these things don't bother you, please ignore and
forgive me, but they disturb my ear so I have indulged
myself a bit here.
