[HANASHIR:9443] Re: Recording Stuff

I agree with all points as well - as a producer, I however, have never been
to Bermuda yet. (My actual fees end up being less than one would wish to work
for on an hourly rate - but well worth the investment for the artist because
I too add my love of music and creativity and share my skills.

It is crucial to also understand that what goes in must be well-written,
well-sung as well as well-recorded. The pre-production and post-production
work are equally important but the bottom line is that beautifully adorned
mush remains that.
There are many many wonderful creative singers and songwriters in our midst -
with much to offer. When there is a glut of unformed, half-baked stuff
flooding the Jewish market, it does a disservice to all - listeners and
learners.
Not everyone has to record a CD. Not everyone has to sing their own songs.
But if you have material that is valuable - and special - pass it on. Find
the appropriate forum. There are people like Craig Taubman, and Joel at
Transcontinental who look for wonderful material for compilations etc.
