Re: jewish music in bible

Dear Judy,

What you're saying regarding understanding biblical composition via meter, rhyming schemes, etc. is exactly what I want to do, but in my thought process I can't seem to get more specific. I still don't know how to narrow that down into some sort of dissertation topic and Dr. Marsha Edelman (who's also on this listserv) seems to think that it's all been done already. I want to talk to you more about this and would appreciate any ideas of specific texts (besides tehillem, and the chamesh megillot. like somewhere in prophets?) that I could apply this to reveal a new and enlightening perspective. I really want to talk to you more, but Shabbat is in an hour and the laundry calls! Be in touch though. Thanks for your thoughts,

Malka
