I personally adore the sound of the xylophone in the klezmer band. My
favorite recording is the Rayze Noch Amerike.
But, I personally find no relationship in sound or in attempt to fill that
tsimbl void in the larger band. Maybe the percussive effect but since it's
mostly heard in solo spots I don't think so in that case either. Just my
personal 2
cents.
