RE: Information about Jack Boogich



I am also interested in finding out information about this important musical 
dynasty-- in both their Romanian and American incarnations.  Yankl's band Di 
Naye Kapelye (on their eponymously titled album) and Budowitz (on Wedding 
Without a Bride) have both begun to mine the Bughici/Boogich family's beautiful 
Moldavian/Jewish repertoire.
 
There's also a picture of the family kapelye (presumably from Iasi/Jassy) in 
Yale Strom's "Book of Klezmer."
