YISMECHU

FROM: MIAdler (at) aol(dot)com / zaterdag, 29 maart 2003 02:23

This as you probably know is a prayer song often played by Klezmer groups.
Would anyone know where I could find sheet music in c or even better
an arrangement for b flat and c instrumentation.

Hi Marc,
I've got the music for Yismechu for C instruments, hand written
(and legible!) with the accompanying chords and can mail it to you.

Thanks so much. You can mail it to :

I really like the Wholesale Klezmer Band's version of it.
It seems to lend itself to improvisation.
As a crossover song (prayer/klezmer ) alot of people know it.

You can find it in Velvel Pasternak's Songs of the Chassidim, #50, p 44.
And, of course, we didn't record it exactly as written.
