Re: Edwin Seroussi article

The Regev-Seroussi book is currently in the making, as far as I know...

Regarding the on-line journal "Music & Anthropology", where the
article recently appeared, one may also want to check the issue no.
3, 1998:

http://www.muspe.unibo.it/period/ma/index/number3/ma_ind3.htm

which carries another article by Edwin Seroussi:
"De-gendering Jewish music: the survival of the Judeo-Spanish folk
song revisited"

http://www.muspe.unibo.it/period/ma/index/number3/seroussi/ser_0.htm

one by Philip Bohlman:
"The Shechinah, or the feminine sacred in the musics of the Jewish
Mediterranean"

http://www.muspe.unibo.it/period/ma/index/number3/bohlman/bohl_0.htm

both of which were drawn from a conference that took place at the
Fondazione Levi, in Venice, that same year ("Music as Representation
of Gender in Mediterranean Culture"), and a review of the CD
"Jerusalem in Hebrew Prayers and Songs" that I contributed:
