I thank Bob Cohen for his calm response to my indignant posting.  I
apparently misread his intent and took his mockery of the products of
Communist-era, centralized translation agencies as ridicule of the
English of a distinguished Bulgarian scholar, for which
misinterpretation I apologize.  My only defense is that the original
target was unclear.
