The Isaiah Project presents
Kwanzaa- Chanukah 2002
featuring the Afro Semitic Experience
in partnership with Third Baptist Church and Back on Track

Based outside of New York, the Afro-Semitic experience is a blues-drenched
swinging jazz quartet. They fuse Jewish and African American musical traditions
into exuberant and deeply contemplative performance pieces.
Please join us for this special concert, and for a festive commemoration of the
Kwaanzaa and Chanukah holidays, as well as a joyous look back at seven years of
partnership between Bay Area African-American and Jewish communities.

The Isaiah Project, an African-American and Jewish alliance for social justice
and collaboration, seeks to address issues of common concern among Blacks,
Jews, and members of other cultural groups in the San Francisco Bay Area. The
Isaiah Project is a project of the Jewish Community Relations Council and is

Jewish Community Endowment and the Walter and Elise Haas Fund.
