I don't know about Brooklyn but there's a new transdenominational shul in 
Riverdale that uses music in the t'filot in a most beautiful way - Congregation 
Tehilla - www.congregationtehilla.org   Started by folks from B'nei Jeshrun.  
I'm sure their Sukkot services will be terrific.
