Glad to help, Leybl.
That said, I would like to recommend to all of you who make Yiddish
music and do not own the three (soon to be four, I believe) Mlotek
songbooks, Mir trogn a gezang, Pearls of Yiddish Song, and Songs of
Generations, to get them. They are quite comprehensive for genreal use,
written well, and available from people on our list, such as Simon, or
you can call the Workmen's Circle Jewish Book Center, or even give your
money to Velvel at Tara if you want. But, support yidishkayt and
Yiddish music by buying CDs, rather than copying them (even if you are
broke, like me), buy music books that contain the lyrics to the songs
you want to sing. Buy the Kammen books or the Klez Fake Book rather
than just photocopying them for your bandmates. It's one thing if the
music is totally out of print and there's no way to get it otherwise,
but if it is available--buy it! Let the publishers and record companies
know that there is a market for our music.
mit vareme vintshn,
