I searched the name on online catalog of the Robert and Molly Freedman
Archive of Jewish Music at the University of Pennsylvania Library and it
came up with a few entries. Go to this page to view:

I have never heard this song mentioned before. My uncle came from
Russia in the late 70's and used to sing it to us all the time. I would
also be interested in finding info on it. Was real cute. If I remember
correctly I believe it starts with "siz a meichel vos hot toizend tamin."

    Is this the same one?

Anybody knows the author and/or origin of a Yiddish song called
Gefilte Fish? My father used to love to sing it....At one point I even
thought he had written it! Until I heard it on a recent Russian/Yiddish
recording, but still couldn't figure out where it came from.
