Re: Dave Tarras doina

Hi, Just thought I'd jump in for the Hohner bashing fest. It may be that my
idea about Hohner wanting us all to play the CX is correct. Of the half
dozen different Hohner products I have purchased , the CX is the only one
close to being of any use out of the box. I don't think that thats by
mistake. But I may be mistaken.....but then as Hohner is a company in
business to turn a profit we should not be surprised that they would cut
corners . think that the CX is an easier unit to produce ? Looks like that
to me. Mainly injection molded plastic. If they take the time to tune
them(they seem to) that would make for a nice little item for them. They
could do the plastic bits in China do the reeds in Germany call the product
Made in Germany and , they have a nice world market to sell to. So whats
the harm in that.Though I would be willing to pay more for an improved
product the vast majority of their buying public may not be. They may have
done marketing research that tells them that. Who Knows ? Thems that know
ain't a tellin' thems that want ta' know caint' find out. Thats the
system. If you want a better factory product you had better be ready to start
your own factory. Think theres big money in building a harmonica factory
?Test your theory, build one. Let me know how it turns out. I'll be here
trying to practice on my tin Hohner toy. Cordially, Al Watsky
