I've been expecting Hankus Netsky to reply to this, but since he hasn't (no 
doubt immersed in worthwhile endeavors), I'll advise that Hankus alerted me 
to Artie Shaw's "The Chant" (don't know if it's on the Self-Portrait box) as 
a work rich with Jewish (hazzanidik) resonance.
