That would be, then, a college-based klezmer band, yes? Indeed it is. There
are many on the east coast: Brown University, Mount Holyoke College, Smith
(so I've been told) Yale, Wesleyan, and Princeton come immediately to mind.
All have participated in the college-sponsored annual "Klezmerpalooza" that
was initiated by the Yale band about 4 years ago, maybe 3. Mount Holyoke is
probably one of a very few, if not the only one, directed by faculty instead
of student-run.
